Imagine the opportunity to sit with your loved one in a private setting, where you feel free to express your love and appreciation without any reservations -- take the opportunity to contemplate your thoughts and feelings and tell them how much you love them, appreciate them, what significance they bring to your life.  Even when you know in general what needs to be said, it is still difficult to find "just the right words" to say.  Writing out your thoughts allows you the luxury of "trying out" different words until you find just the right ones.  We encourage you to express your thoughts on paper and read them out loud several times before making your phone call.

When you're ready to call go to Recording Instructions and follow the steps.

Sample Letter ~

Aunt Mary this is Terri, and I have this opportunity to make a personal recording for you and I’m so thrilled to be able to do it.  I love you so very much and my heart just really longs to be able to be able to spend more time with you.  I know that living so far away that that is not reasonable.  But you are often in my thoughts and very often in my prayers.  I was looking at the Israel pictures the other day and remembering our journey together.   What a great adventure that was, I had such a wonderful time with you.  We laughed so much together.  What a great adventure that was.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.  It was one of the very best trips of my entire life.  And I was very privileged to be able to share it with you.  We had some great times together.

What I would like to do is pray for you just as though I was right there with you.  So I hope you’ll be able to close your eyes and to just enter in with me as I pray.

Heavenly Father I just thank you for your great love.  I thank you for the blessing that Aunt Mary has been in my life.  For opening her home to myself and to Mary, for taking us in and we always had such a good time being in her house, taking rides in the Jeep and riding her bicycle and going to the library with her and she was always so generous with her time. I just ask Lord that you would bless her and cause her to remember the good things the good times that not only we shared but that she shared with so many.  And Father I ask right now that you would enfold Aunt Mary in your hand.  That she would be aware of your presence.  That she would know that you love and care for her so very, very much.  That you are not far from her, that you have never left her that you will be with her always.  Lord, I know that you care.  And I pray that Aunt Mary will know that you care.  And I thank you for the privilege of being able to pray for her right now in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Aunt Mary I was reading and thinking about making this recording, this CD for you, and several Scriptures came to mind and I looked them up in your Momma’s Bible.  I’m so privileged to be able to have her Bible.  And I cherish it.  And I looked up these three Scriptures and do you know that they were each one underlined in her Bible, with the pencil that she used to mark her Bible.  And I want to read these for you.  And I want you to know these are true.  And these are the verses the Lord gave me to share with you.

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in His love, he will joy over thee with singing.    Zephaniah 3:17

And you do please the Lord.  And I want you to know that.  And I think he wants you to remember – just think back and remember playing the organ in church and remember all the ways that the Lord has been faithful to you through the years.

The next verse I’d like to share is one that is also underlined and marked in pencil in Grandma’s Bible.  He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress:  my God; in him will I trust.  Psalm 91:1-2

And my prayer for you is that those words will be true for you and as you maybe replay this and hear them and perhaps have somebody read them to you again that you know that  you do abide under the shadow of the almighty.  That He is your refuge and your fortress.  And that you can trust Him just as Grandma did all those years.  And I know that she was a tremendous woman of faith.  And I know that her hope was in the Lord.  And I know that it was because of that great heritage through her – that I am serving the Lord today.  I have no doubt in my mind that it was Grandmas prayers that prayed us all in the kingdom

And the next verse is also in Psalms.  And I think this was probably one of your favorites as well, and again, it’s underlined in Grandmas Bible.  I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.  My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.  He will not suffer thy foot to be moved:  he that keepeth thee will not slumber.  Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.  The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.  The Sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.  The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.  The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth even for evermore.  Psalm 121: 1-8

And I just want to say that your help does come from the Lord.  That even while your sleeping the Lord is watching over you.  He never slumbers, He never sleeps and you are never alone.  I love you Aunt Mary.  I pray that you will do well and that these songs will bless your heart and that you will find peace and rest in the arms of Jesus.  I love you.  Bye bye.
