Pat, this is Kathy. I have been given an opportunity to make this CD for you and I am so excited to share some thoughts with you and to pray for you.
I hope you can receive this as a gesture of love from a sister in Christ. My knowledge of you is mainly from church and some conversations, but I want you to know what I see in you. I see a beautiful woman, inside and out, one that is confident in her appearance, demeanor and womanhood. You are classy, eloquent and well put together.
Your talents and grace to others are amazing and keen to detail. I see in you a woman who knows no boundaries to love. I see a woman who loves and supports her husband and children unselfishly. I have seen you love all of us as a church, preparing so much food for the Mexico mission’s trip and all the fundraisers before, not to mention meals for people in need and Vacation Bible School. I have seen you cut out choir robes all afternoon, not to mention sewing them together meticulously.
So many other things you have helped with at church when I know you didn’t feel like it (reminding me of the faith of Abraham as recorded James 2:22-23 “You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the Scripture was fulfilled that said “Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness” and he was called God’s friend. )
I so much enjoy your humor and insight in Sunday School class. In all you are, I see God’s love in you. I see you as an extension of Jesus outstretched hand.
Pat, I would like for you to close your eyes and imagine my hands on your shoulders while I pray for you.
Dear Heavenly Father, I praise your holy name. Father, I thank you for my sister Pat, and for the blessing she is in so many lives. I am very grateful to be able to pray for her, to ask you to wrap your loving arms around her.
I pray Father for Your divine healing on her body, for the viral lead numbers to stay under the table just by speaking your blessing upon her. I ultimately pray Your will be done. I know that it is by Your grace that she has been able to withstand her treatments. We ask for You to enable her body to take in nourishment to sustain her.
For Your peace to wash over her like a summers sunset and settle in her soul as softly as Your snowflakes fall to earth. We pray for You to continue to carry her until she can walk again. Please show us, Father, any way we can love and help Pat. I cannot imagine her suffering, but You know her pain and how to ease it. If I can be any small part in restoring the wind to her sails, please use me! You tell us it is not for us to understand all that happens in our earthly life, but we can trust You to be by our side, helping us through.
Pat is one, of your dearest daughters in love in honor, in prayer, and in service. Please cause her to remember the times that put a twinkle in her eye, a smile to her lips, a time when lightheartedness was the order of the day. Please giver her a vision of blessings, bless her medicine, bless her doctors, bless her family, Please BLESS HER HEART!! May grace and mercy follow her all the days of her life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Pat, we can hardly wait for the day you will be able to come and worship with us again at “the Grove.” I feel so bad that you spend so many days alone suffering in silence while the rest of us go about our days. There is a lot to be said for God’s deep love and commitment. It can give you something to hold on to while He is helping you through your trials. I know you get tired of being strong, God understands when you have a bad day and feel like giving up. That’s why His mercies are new every day you know.
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in His love, he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
And you do please the Lord. Pat.
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Psalm 91:1-2
And my prayer for you is that those words will be true for you that you know that you do abide under the shadow of the almighty. That He is your refuge and your fortress. And that you can trust. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The Sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth even for evermore. Psalm 121: 1-8
And I just want to say that your help does come from the Lord. That even while your sleeping the Lord is watching over you. He never slumbers, He never sleeps and you are never alone. I love you Pat. I pray that you will do well and that these songs will bless your heart and that you will find peace and rest in the arms of Jesus. I love you. Bye bye.
Psalm 139
